Do you want to practice your French? Improve your French vocabulary? Meet new Francophiles? Please join us to discuss the book «La Grammaire est une chanson douce» by Erik Orsenna.
We meet in the main meeting room to read and discuss books in French one Tuesday a month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
On May 20, 2025, we'll discuss «La Grammaire est une chanson douce» by Erik Orsenna, de l'Academie Française. It tells the story of two siblings who lose their ability to speak after a shipwreck and are subsequently taught to rediscover language through the guidance of a kind old man named Monsieur Henri, who uses the beauty and structure of grammar to help them "respeak".
