Learn the basic principles and process of graphic design by designing and making a zine!
What is graphic design? What do designers do? Teens, find out more about the profession in this hands-on workshop.
Zines are a versatile medium that includes self-published and homemade small volumes. They can be hand-made publications produced by individuals or groups with common interests, or they can be commercial, professionally printed volumes. As long as a publication is self-published or published by a small, independent publisher, it is a zine!
You can create and produce your own zine or partner with a friend or community to do it. This workshop will teach basics of graphic design through the process of making a zine.
The workshop will be led by Michal Rotberg, GD MFA, Adjunct Professor of Art and Design & Graphic Design, Stevenson University.
