Red Cup Challenge

How high can you stack? How fast can you build? Take our Red Cup Challenge!

While on break from school, join us for our Red Cup Challenge! Put your engineering and creativity skills to the test! Not only will you stack red cups, but we will create building challenges to stretch your skills and encourage teamwork.  This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. 

This program is designed for children ages 6-10 years old, but everyone is welcome to attend. Due to space limitations, there will be an attendance limit. All supplies provided.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
