Learn to create a graphic novel.
In this 5-session class, you will write and illustrate your own graphic novel page. Using all the conventions of graphic novel storytelling: narration, dialogue, character design, dynamic page layouts, and cinematic techniques, participants will create their own graphic novel page. Refine rough pencil drawings into finished art with pen and ink and watercolor pencils.
Registration and attendance to all 5 sessions are required. Note that is no class on November 30 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Space is limited. Art supplies will be provided to be used during the sessions.
This class is facilitated by illustrator Leila Cabib and is funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
