Join us for an afternoon with Angie Kim, critically acclaimed and bestselling author of "Miracle Creek" and "Happiness Falls."
Join Olney Library for an exciting program with award-winning and local author Angie Kim. Ms. Kim has written two highly regarded works of fiction: Miracle Creek (published 2019; international bestseller and winner, Edgar Award for Best First Novel) and Happiness Falls (published 2023; NY Times bestseller, New American Voices Award finalist and Good Morning America Book Club pick). Happiness Falls will be adapted for television by actor/writer Ethan Hawke.
Ms. Kim will share how she become a writer, after pursuing other successful careers. As a local writer, Ms. Kim will discuss her start at the Writer's Center in Bethesda and other resources she drew on early in her career. Q&A and light refreshments to follow. Copies of her books will be available for purchase/signing.
