Join us as we discuss the book Homegoing by international bestseller and award-winning author Yaa Gyasi. Homegoing follows the parallel paths of these sisters and their descendants through eight generations: from the Gold Coast to the plantations of Mississippi, from the American Civil War to Jazz Age Harlem.

This program is a part of NEA Big Read with Sandy Spring Museum.

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.  

Sandy Spring Museum is participating in the NEA Big Read in collaboration with Montgomery County Public Libraries, Olive Branch Community Church, and MoCo Underground Writers Showcase.
