Hop aboard the yellow submarine to dive down to an octopus's garden beneath the waves to learn about one of nature's most amazing creatures and its incredible capabilities!
Come spend a summer evening at the library learning about one of the ocean's most remarkably bright creatures. We'll explore the world of these weird and wonderful eight-legged cephalopods and learn about some of the almost-unbelievable things they can do, like camouflage themselves, mimic other species, use tools, and escape from predators and captivity! We'll also meet an octopus character or two in stories, share in a sing-along, and you'll have the chance to make an octopus craft of your own to bring home. Recommended for ages 3-8 with caregivers; families and older kids are welcome, too!
