Interested in joining? The Book Club meets the second Thursday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. We'll talk over the book Speak to Me of Home by Jeanine Cummins.

The book chosen for this month's discussion is Speak to Me of Home by Jeanine Cummins. This multigenerational novel narrates the lives of three women in a Puerto Rican-Irish family—Rafaela, Ruth, and Daisy—as they navigate identity, belonging, and the meaning of "home" across Puerto Rico and the American Midwest from the 1960s to the present day. The story, inspired by Cummins' own family history, explores themes of assimilation, cultural displacement, and the complex bonds between mothers and daughters, all set in motion by a life-altering event in 2023 that brings the family together.
