Inclusive Yoga for All
Celebrating Aging Week! (September 30th-October 6th)
This accessible yoga class allows you the choice of practicing entirely in a chair or practicing with optional floor poses and standing poses where a chair can be used for support. The class will provide you with opportunities to improve your balance, flexibility, and mobility, as well as practice breathwork and short meditations. This class is perfect for those who have been cleared by medical professionals to exercise but have no yoga experience or who have practiced yoga, but need poses adjusted to account for injuries and/or limited mobility. The library will provide chairs. You are welcome to bring a mat or towel for use if you plan to take advantage of standing or floor poses.
The class is sponsored by Circle Yoga Cooperative and will be taught by Delores Simmons, RYT-200, who is a certified Warriors at Ease instructor. Warriors at Ease trains yoga instructors to provide yoga and mindfulness classes that are trauma-informed, evidence-based and military culture specific.
