Zora Neale Hurston Day! - In-Person

Celebrate the life and legacy of Zora Neale Hurston at Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library! Ages 13–17 for the talk at 10:30am, ages 6–12 for the Storytime at 11am!

Celebrate groundbreaking, world-famous Harlem Renaissance author and folklorist Zora Neale Hurston with the Eta Pi Zeta chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated! We will have a special 11am Storytime honoring Zora Neale Hurston and a very special talk at 10:30am by the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta. Ages 13–17 for the talk at 10:30am, ages 6–12 for the Storytime at 11am!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
