Join Master Gardener Pat Kenny in this informative session that covers the care, maintenance and uses of the different types of herbs.

Pat Kenny - A Master Gardener for over 25 years, Pat is a well known speaker on the topic of herbs.  She has been a member of the Herb Society of America for 40+ years and a medical and biological illustrator at NIH for 30 years.  Pat was also the caretaker of the National Library of Medicine Herb Garden at NIH. Over several decades, she has taught about herbs and herbcraft for the USDA Graduate School - Evening Programs, the Montgomery County Recreation Department, and the University of Maryland - Extension Master Gardener Program. She adds more herbs to her vegetable garden every year!

UME Master Gardeners are volunteers who combine their love of plants, people, and the environment to help residents in their communities solve problems and make environmentally-sound decisions. They support the University of Maryland Extension (UME) mission by educating residents about safe, effective and sustainable horticultural practices that build healthy gardens, landscapes, and communities. The UME Master Gardener Program began in 1978 as a means to extend science-based knowledge to the general public by providing horticultural and pest management expertise to help protect and improve Maryland’s natural resources. Today, this popular program can be found in 20 Maryland counties and Baltimore City.
