Do you want to practice your French? Improve your French vocabulary? Meet new Francophiles? Please join us to discuss the book "On était des loups" by Sandrine Collette.

We meet in the Connie Morella Library Main Meeting Room to read and discuss books in French one Tuesday a month from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

On April 23, we'll discuss "On était des loups" by Sandrine Collette.

This novel, winner of the Prix Renaudot des lycéens 2022 and Prix Jean Giono 2022, is like a long poem. Liam is a father who must learn to tame his son following the sudden and unexpected death of his mother. It is a long journey in the forest, during which the two beings learn to align with each other, the taciturn child and the hunter father, unaccustomed to showing feelings. Following their journey means immersing yourself in the forest and the mountains, and the thoughts of a father in training. A gripping novel which masterfully questions the father/son relationship.
