Explore the history, science and creative possibilities of animation as you create three optical toys: a thaumatrope, a zoetrope strip and a flip-book. Art supplies will be provided to be used during the workshop.

Registration required. Space is limited. 

This workshop is in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by an Arts in Education Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
