One-hour bilingual workshop

Learn to create a self-caricature or a caricature of a workshop participant. Aprenda a crear una autocaricatura o una caricatura de un participante del taller.

Learn how to combine observation, simplification and exaggeration as you create a self-caricature or a caricature of a workshop participant.  You will create a progression of sketches, beginning with a realistic portrait that will gradually evolve into a caricature that captures your subject’s unique appearance and personality.  Please bring a mirror large enough to see your face in.  Art supplies will be furnished by the library. Registration required. Space is limited. This workshop is in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by an Arts in Education Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.

Aprenda cómo combinar la manera de observar, simplificar y exagerar al crear una caricatura de uno mismo o de un participante del taller. Podrá crear una serie de dibujos, empezando por un retrato realista que gradualmente evolucionará hasta convertirse en una caricatura que capture la apariencia y la personalidad exclusivas de la persona. Por favor traiga un espejo grande donde pueda ver su cara. Los materiales de arte serán proporcionados por la biblioteca. Se necesita registrarse. El espacio es limitado.
