STEM at the Library: Wizard Science - In Person

Science can seem like magic. Conduct several magical-looking experiments and discover the real science behind them. For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. No registration needed.

Sometimes science can seem like magic. In this workshop you will conduct several magical-looking experiments, and discover the real science behind them. This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. Optional: Come dressed in your own wizarding robe and bring your own wand, if you like! For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. No registration needed. This is a Maryland STEM Festival event.

We will provide all the experiment materials for this program.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
