Published in 2018, There There tells the interconnected stories of a cast of twelve Native characters from across generational lines, as they converge toward the Big Oakland Powwow. Together, the stories give a riveting portrait of the urban Indian experience. October 9th is Indigenous Peoples Day!

One Maryland One Book is overseen by Maryland Humanities, a statewide, educational nonprofit organization that creates and supports bold experiences that explore and elevate our shared stories to connect people, enhance lives, and enrich communities. More info:https://www.mdhumanities.org/programs/one-maryland-one-book/

Beginning September 19th at 12:30pm, the Wheaton Library will have physical copies of the book to borrow for those planning to attend the virtual discussion in October, while supplies last. You may also place a hold for a different format of the title, with your MCPL card, here: https://mcpl.aspendiscovery.org/Union/Search?lookfor=there%20there
