Join archivist, historian, and professor Dr. Lopez Matthews, State Archivist and Public Records Administrator as he walks us through emancipation in Maryland.

Dr. Matthews has a PH.D. in United States History and currently serves as the State Archivist and Public Records Administrator for the District of Columbia. He is active as the senior advisor for the US Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Movement and is an Adjunct Professor of History at Bowie State University. 

The program will take place at the Brigadier General Library and it will also be offered via live streaming.
