Join us for a relaxing and lively escape in today’s busy world.
The NIH Chamber Singers, a group of 15 singers under the direction of Dwight Brock, will
present a spring concert of choral music enjoyable for both singers and listeners alike. The
selections include madrigals, folks songs from four different countries, songs about love from
The Great American Songbook and some of the best 21st century compositions. In addition, each
section of the program will have a least one surprise.
Composers, such as Morley, Passereau, Vaughan Williams, Rutter, Whitacre, Porter, and Waller,
along with excellent modern arrangers, give us music of consistent excellence. Many of these
lovely compositions and arrangements are built upon fascinating stories or situations. As has
always been our custom, the Singers enjoy extending themselves with difficult and surprising
arrangements of unusual, and often very entertaining, pieces.
