Author Mojdeh Bahar will talk about the power of poetry in any language and her process of translation.
Mojdeh Bahar is a patent attorney and technology transfer professional in the public sector. The recipient of numerous professional awards, Mojdeh currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Iranian-American Community Center. She has a deep interest in poetry. Milkvetch and Violets is her first book of translations from one of her favorite contemporary Persian poets, Mohammad Reza Shafi'i-Kadkani. She will be talking about the power of poetry in any language and her process of translation.
In partnership with Montgomery County Middle Eastern American Advisory Group, Office of Community Partnerships and Baltimore Luxor Alexandria Sister City Committee. This program will take place at the Rockville Memorial Library.
