The Olney Writer's Group provides a regular forum for the presentation, review, and critique of works in progress. All styles of writing are welcome. College-aged and older.
This friendly group consists of writers who are in various stages of their projects (representing different genres). They meet twice/month, usually the 2nd & 4th Thursdays.
At each session, members offer praise and constructive critique. In the two weeks prior to each meeting, they review two authors' work, up to 10-12 pages double-spaced, then discuss them at the next session. The group also shares resources, exchanges ideas, and holds literary events to present their work publicly.
Registration is required. Registrants will be emailed a link to access the meeting before the event. Please register for one session only; once you join the group, subsequent notifications will be sent directly to your email.
Please feel free to join the meeting ~10 minutes early to check your connection, settings, etc.
NOTE: Two members of the Olney Writer's Group will be presenting "Writing & Publishing a Memoir" on Sunday, March 26 at 2 pm at Olney Library. Learn more here.
