Calling all children (ages 9+) and your favorite adults!
Calling all children (ages 9+) and your favorite adults! See your drawings come to life as you explore the history, science and creative possibilities of animation. We will create three optical toys: a thaumatrope, a cyclical zoetrope strip and a flip-book. The is an intergenerational program for children (ages 9+) and adults alike.
Registration is required. Space is limited to 15 participants.
Art supplies to be used during the workshop will be provided.
If any participant is registered and cannot attend, please contact the Wheaton Library to cancel the registration so that individuals on the waiting list can participate. Customers on the waiting list will be contacted if space become available.
This workshop is in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
Important note: The facilitator has requested all attendees to wear masks while attending the workshop. All attendees will be required to wear masks.
