Read to a certified therapy dog!

Let your child practice reading aloud and build their confidence during a 10-minute one-on-one reading session with a certified therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from our collection!

We may have a limited number of time slots available, please stop by the Children's Program Room beginning at 4:30 p.m. to sign up for a time slot. In partnership with People Animals Love (PAL).

For grades Kindergarten to 5th Grade. 

Accommodation Requests

Please place your request for English-language captioning or sign language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program you plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
