The program will be led by the Yarn Bomb group from the Wheaton Arts Parade. Materials will be provided. English and Spanish-speaking presenters will be available.
Yarn Bombs are colorful designs that are crocheted and used to decorate the route of the Annual Wheaton Arts Parade. Started by Latin American artists with the goal of involving the Spanish-speaking community of Wheaton, it has become a fun and creative activity for everyone. The Yarn Bomb aims to involve Wheaton’s communities, including the Spanish-speaking community, to crochet decorations to string around trees, lampposts, and railings along the Wheaton Arts Parade route and around the festival.
