This presentation will highlight key historical events and why it is so important to understand the basic concepts of today's global supply chain.  The U.S. is a maritime nation, but China plays a huge role in the global supply chain. This process has taken decades, but only until the shock waves of COVID-19 did America and many other countries wake up and realize the magnitude of their dependence on China for its economic health.

Dr. Todd McAllister is the Director for Global Supply Chain and Logistics Strategy at National Defense University, Eisenhower School. Dr. McAllister was a career Marine Corps logistician with over 24 years’ experience across the entire logistics enterprise. While on active duty, he served in numerous assignments at the tactical, operational, and strategic level. Dr. McAllister earned his Doctorate in Consumer Science with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management technologies from Florida State University. Additionally, he has earned military and executive credentials from Harvard Business School, Defense Acquisition University, and Marine Corps University.

This program is free and open to all and is presented by COFFE (Council of Former Federal Executives & Associates) in collaboration with Little Falls Village and in partnership with the Little Falls Library of Montgomery County Public Libraries.
