Jim Resnick will share suggestions about what you can do to keep yourself safe from fires and improve your safety at home. Learn about what services Montgomery County provides to help older residents ensure their homes are safe and up to code—including free, home safety evaluations and instruction on escape and evacuation techniques. Mr. Resnick’s presentation will include an interactive walk around his house to look at common safety features, and a question-and-answer period at the end.

Mr. Resnick is the Manager of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Senior Outreach Program. Before taking on his current position, Mr. Resnick served Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service for over 45 years, retiring in 2014 as the Operations Battalion Chief for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.
