The session will be led by Arvind Naik, who has significant experience with talks and programs for teens. He has been giving lectures and workshops on the topic of meditation, in which he discusses how incorporating meditation into our daily routine can be life changing, for several years. In his programs Arvind explores how this practice can help each of us develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. Arvind led a meditation program at Target and regularly speaks at libraries, community center and at corporate settings all across the country.  This program is for teens in grades 7-12.

Many take solace and find calm through reading. Take the Library's Summer Reading Challenge: https://montgomerycountymd.gov/library/programs/summer-read-and-learn.html

The Library's online catalog includes many print and electronic titles on meditation. Search here: https://mcpl.aspendiscovery.org/?browseCategory=mcpl_new

You need an MCPL card to borrow and/or place holds for titles.

Don't have a card right now? No worries! Find out how to Get a Library Card.

By joining this Virtual MCPL program, you agree to abide by our rules of conduct. Library staff has the authority to remove you from this program if we deem your behavior to be inappropriate, to ensure the safety of staff and customers.
