Author Laila el-Haddad will discuss her work The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey
Howard County author, social activist, policy analyst and journalist Laila el-Haddad received the “Best Arab Cuisine Book” for The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey, originally published in 2013, with photographs by Maggie Schmitt. Women and men from Gaza tell their stories about cooking, farming and family – stories the San Francisco Book Review calls both heart-warming and heart-wrenching.
