Join us for a talk by Congressman Jamie Raskin. He'll speak about his recent book, Unthinkable, a #1 New York Times bestseller. In this searing memoir, Congressman Jamie Raskin tells the story of the forty-five days at the start of 2021 that permanently changed his life—and his family's—as he confronted the painful loss of his son to suicide, lived through the violent insurrection in our nation's Capitol, and led the impeachment effort to hold President Trump accountable for inciting the political violence.

Congressman Jamie Raskin represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, which includes Montgomery, Carroll, and Frederick Counties. Congressman Raskin was sworn into his third Term at the start of the 117th Congress on January 3, 2021.

Registration is required. As part of County Government, MCPL does not collect personal information other than for the purpose of providing programs or services.

Registration will close at 11AM on Saturday, April 2nd. The Zoom link to participate in the program will be sent to registrants 24 hours prior to the event and again 2 hours before the program starts.

Sponsored by Friend of the Library, Potomac Chapter.
