Job Searching Tips and Resources for Veterans

Join us to learn about employment resources available through MCPL for veterans and services available through WorkSource Montgomery.

Attendees will learn more about Montgomery County Public Libraries online resources relevant to veterans transitioning to civilian employment. We will introduce you to Brainfuse-VetNow online services accessible with your library card. There will be a brief orientation of these jobs & career resources: LinkedIn Learning, Gale Courses and Northstar. 

In addition WorkSource Montgomery will discuss their services to assist veterans in seeking employment. American Job Centers at WorkSource Montgomery supports veterans through knowledgeable staff who know the value and challenges of military experience in the civilian workforce. Their staff can assist you with articulating and communicating your military skills to civilian employers, connect with veteran-friendly employers, and access benefits specifically available to support veterans.
