Calling all doodlers, cartoonists and graphic novelists! The mini comic book is a fun format for telling a story in words and pictures.

Using one folded sheet of paper, you will write and illustrate a brief (6-8 page) narrative that can be factual, fictional, or a combination of both.  You will apply various graphic novel storytelling techniques to your comic book.  Come to the workshop with an idea, which can take the form of a story, poem, recipe, daydream…it's up to you.  You will need three 8.5 x 11-inch sheets of unruled paper, scissors, a pencil, eraser, and a black fineliner pen, such as a Sakura Pigma micron pen or Pilot V5 stick pen.  It doesn't have to be those particular brands; just make sure it has a fine point. Attendees need to provide their own supplies. This workshop is designed for ages 50+. Registration required. The zoom link will be sent to registered participants the day before the program.

This workshop is funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
