In this 5-week virtual class, you will write and illustrate your own graphic novel page.

Using all the conventions of graphic novel storytelling: narration, dialogue, character design, dynamic page layouts and cinematic techniques, participants will create their own graphic novel page. Refine rough pencil drawings into finished art with pen and ink and watercolor pencils.

Registration and attendance to all 5 sessions is required (April 22, 29, May 6, 13 & 20, 2021). Space is limited to 20 participants ages 10-15. Supply kits will be provided. If any participant is registered and cannot attend, please contact Kensington Park Library to cancel the registration so that other individuals on the waiting list can participate.

Please register every member of your household that needs a kit.

Only register if you are able to pick up a kit(s).  You must have a kit to participate.

Space is limited to 20 participants, ages 10-15 so we can only provide kits to registered attendants. The Zoom link will be sent 24 hours before the first session.

Once you have registered, please contact Kensington Park Library to schedule an appointment to pick up your kit(s)! 240-773-9515.  Customers on the waiting list will be contacted if space/supplies are available. Supplies need to be picked up before the first session.

These classes are in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
