Bob Esty worked for ten years as an analyst in the Department of Defense and over twenty years as a Montessori teacher. He is now retired and spends his time playing music and writing fantasy.
Michele Miller is an artist, designer, and an application analyst. Her varied work life has led her path in many directions, storing images, and thinking one day she'd start painting and never stop. Turns out, she funneled those images into words and found her passion for writing.
Sue Esty, retired, wrote mountains of IT user manuals and technical documentation in her career. She has written plays for children. For this group she has written contemporary short stories and is in the midst of a post apocalyptic novel, and a novel of a young girl forced by circumstance to live in a tiny mountain community.
Bryan Byrd, leveraging his corporate writing career, and a world traveler, will read from his creative non-fiction book, Surviving Paradise: the Perils and Pleasures of the Caribbean, that takes you, like a fly on the wall, on a romantic, death-defying sailing adventure from Florida to the Virgin Islands. The book is expected to debut later this year.
Linda Meyer is a mother, teacher and writer. A long standing member of the Olney Writer’s group, Linda published a short story in Thursday Stories, an anthology authored and edited by the group. She is currently working on a novel based on the short story, and several other stories.
