Things the Fly: Maryland STEM Festival 2020

Soar to new scientific heights when you craft your own things that fly! Part of the 2020 Maryland STEM Festival.

Explore the engineering behind the things that fly as we build paper airplanes, straw helicopters, and straw rockets. See what design goes furthest, what design stays in the air longest, and see what flies fastest. Part of the 2020 Maryland STEM Festival. Registration is required.

Please arrange an appointment to pick up your kit here. The only materials you need to provide are scissors, some tape, and a paper clip.

Silver Spring Library will provide materials for the program. Kits with the necessary materials will be available for pick up at the Silver Spring Library from Wednesday, October 7 through Friday, October 23. Registrants will be e-mailed Zoom session details and a link for scheduling an appointment to pick up a kit. Please provide an e-mail address when registering.

For security reasons, this program session will be locked 10 minutes after it begins. Please log in promptly.
