Learn to test acids and bases in this virtual, chemistry activity for ages 10-14. Part of the 2020 Maryland STEM Festival
Did you know that cooking is really chemistry? In this hands-on science activity led by Dr. Venkatamaran Srinivasan, you’ll experiment with acids like vinegar and lemon juice, bases such as baking soda, as well as neutral solutions. Learn to test acids and bases using simple color indicators, litmus papers, and a pH meter. Part of the 2020 Maryland STEM Festival. Registration is required.
Kensington Park Library will provide materials for the program. Kits with the necessary materials will be available for pick up at the Kensington Park Library from Monday, September 28 through Friday, October 9. Registrants will be e-mailed Zoom session details and a link for scheduling an appointment to pick up a kit. Please provide an e-mail address when registering.
