This book recounts the life of Carlos Castro, a Salvadoran immigrant who arrives in the Washington, DC area with nothing and begins a new life. Carlos tells us about the difficulties he went through trying to cross borders, working as a dishwasher, in construction, and accepting several jobs at the same time until he bought his first store and his first house. He is now a successful businessman who has two supermarkets and more than 150 employees. Carlos tells us about the importance of getting involved in community problems and representing those needs to public officials. Carlos Castro tells us about his philosophy of life, his determination, his discipline, his family and his faith.
Este libro relata la vida de Carlos Castro, un inmigrante salvadoreño que llega al área de Washington, DC sin nada y comienza una nueva vida. Carlos nos cuenta las dificultades que pasó tratando de pasar fronteras, trabajando de lavaplatos, en construcción, y aceptando varios trabajos al mismo tiempo hasta comprar su primera tienda y su primera casa. Ahora es un empresario exitoso que tiene dos supermercados y más de 150 empleados. Carlos nos habla de la importancia de involucrarse en los problemas de la comunidad y representar esas necesidades ante los funcionarios públicos. Carlos Castro nos habla de su filosofía de vida, de su determinación, su disciplina, su familia y de su fé.
