Through the Historical Interpretation of Master Storyteller Janice Curtis Greene you will gain insights to the conditions of enslavement in the North and how Phillis Wheatley rose above it.

Before the Civil War and Revolutionary War Phillis Wheatley wrote a book of poems and became the first woman of African descent be a published poet in the United States.  Through the Historical Interpretation of  Master Storyteller Janice Curtis Greene you will gain insights to the conditions of the Northern enslaved and one young woman who rose above it.
