Join us to learn about the birds of the DMV area! Thanks to its location, Montgomery County hosts more than 240 bird species annually. In addition to the county's native birds, migratory birds pass through the area on their seasonal routes. Come see presenter Dan Rauch's beautiful photographs and stories as you get to know the birds of Montgomery County and the surrounding area.
Dan Rauch is a local wildlife biologist and ornithologist with the DC Department of Energy & Environment. As an advocate for birds, he has been featured in local and national press, as well as on television. Mr. Rauch has conducted more than 15 years of research and conservation in the District of Columbia.
