Join Olney Library for a book launch celebration of Liza Losada's debut novel, "Ink Honey Blossom"!

Olney Library is very pleased to welcome AUTHOR LIZA LOSADA to the branch for the launch of her debut novel, Ink Honey Blossom. The book will be released on September 1, 2026. 

Q&A and light refreshments to follow. Copies of her book will be available for purchase/signing.

INK HONEY BLOSSOM is an adult dystopian novel about a fifteen-year-old girl named Ink, one of many girls imprisoned around the world, used for the hallucinogenic visions their bodies can produce. In a world devastated by a global plague that kills men young, the only thing slowing the disease is a powerful psychoactive substance harvested from a rare tree and the trance states catalyzed by these captive girls. Each night, Ink enters the visions of men infected with the disease prolonging their lives while eroding her own health. When she receives an artifact that grants her an unprecedented power and the chance of escape, she must confront the moral injury of choosing between leading her friends to freedom and staying captive and helping as many girls as she can. 

LIZA LOSADA SCHOR is an advanced practice nurse psychotherapist specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder and adolescent psychology. As a trained psychedelic psychotherapist, she engages in research studying the use of psychedelic drugs in the treatment of mental health disorders. She holds a degree in literature from Wesleyan University and a master’s from the University of Maryland. Her work is inspired by the intersection of her clinical career, her cultural background and the resilience of her patient population. When not putting her protagonists in peril, she lives in Maryland where she enjoys making dioramas and book art alongside her family and two wonder pups. Ink Honey Blossom is her first published novel. She is a past, longtime member of the Olney Writer's Group, based at Olney Library.
