From Day to Day is a remarkable World War II concentration camp diary written secretly by Norwegian prisoner Odd Nansen while incarcerated in a Nazi concentration camp. Praised by The New Yorker as “among the most compelling documents to come out of the war,” his inspiring diary brilliantly illuminates Nansen’s daily struggle, not only to survive, but to preserve his sanity and maintain his humanity.
One of only a handful of concentration camp diaries ever translated into English, it offers a firsthand account of courage and resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship. After being out of print for more than 60 years, speaker Timothy Boyce rediscovered and republished it, inspired by the story of a young Holocaust survivor whose life Nansen helped save.
