The Science of Ice Cream - Summer Reading 2026

Join us as we learn about the science of ice cream with a special guest from Bruster's Real Ice Cream!

Beat the heat on a hot summer afternoon and learn about the science of making ice cream!

What better way to cool off on a hot summer day than with a scoop of delicious ice cream?

Come to the Marilyn J. Praisner Library for a presentation on what ice cream making looks like at Bruster's Real Ice Cream in Gaithersburg, MD! You will have the opportunity to make your own ice cream in a bag, as well as sample a treat from Bruster's Real Ice Cream!

This program is designed for children ages 4 to 11 years of age. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
