Create a Graphic Novel (10-15 years old)

In this 5-session class, you will write and illustrate your own graphic novel page.

In this 5-session class, you will write and illustrate your own graphic novel page. Using all the conventions of graphic novel storytelling: narration, dialogue, character design, dynamic page layouts and cinematic techniques, participants will create their own graphic novel page. Refine rough pencil drawings into finished art with pen and ink and watercolor pencils.  Each student will create a page that will be displayed at the library. 

Registration for and attendance at all 5 sessions are required. Space is limited. Art supplies will be provided.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
