Come join us for a very special groundbreaking ceremony for the Noyes Library for Young Children's upcoming renovation!

This small, historically designated library is dedicated to pre-kindergarten and early literacy education and the comprehensive renovation will enhance the facility while also preserving its unique, small-scale character. Planned improvements include ensuring the building is fully accessible for all patrons and staff, providing better and ADA-compliant restrooms, and creating a designated space for library staff to prepare and deliver diverse and welcoming programming.

Guest speakers will include:

  • County Executive Marc Elrich
  • Council District 4 Councilmember Kate Stewart
  • Council Education and Culture Committee Chair Will Jawando
  • Members of the Maryland District 18 Delegation
  • Town of Kensington Mayor Tracey Furman
  • Montgomery County Public Libraries Director Darcell Graham
  • Noyes Foundation representative Karen Beardsley
