Experience Virtual Reality- Celebrate 75 Years of MCPL! - In-person

Want to experience virtual reality (VR)? Join the Olney branch for a VR headset demonstration, where you'll have a chance to try them out yourself. Ages 14+. In celebration of MCPL's 75th anniversary!

Ever wanted to experience "virtual reality"-- including exploring faraway locales, playing fantastical games, or going back in time or forward into the future? Here is your opportunity. Join us for a demonstration of VR headsets and the endless possibilities of immersive experiences they offer, part of the celebration of MCPL's 75th anniversary and the future of libraries! Ages 14 and older. Teens will need to bring a signed consent form (or be accompanied by an adult).

Sign up for a 30-minute session to experience VR firsthand. Planned dates/times are:

• Friday, June 5 from 2:00- 5:00 pm
• Saturday, July 11 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
