Presented by the Montgomery County Business Center
Teen Entrepreneurship 101 is an engaging and informative presentation designed to introduce young people to the fundamentals of starting and owning a business. Aimed at teens and young adults, this session highlights entrepreneurship as a powerful and attainable career option alongside traditional education and employment pathways.
The presentation will cover the basics of launching a business, common challenges entrepreneurs face, potential resources to support entrepreneurs, and practical steps teens can take now to begin their entrepreneurial journey, even while in school.
Teen Entrepreneurship 101 also emphasizes why business ownership is especially important for youth. Entrepreneurship builds critical life skills such as leadership, financial literacy, creativity, resilience, and problem-solving. It empowers young people to take control of their futures, create their own opportunities, and potentially generate income, jobs, and positive change in their communities.
Teen Entrepreneurship 101 encourages teens to think big, start small, and recognize that entrepreneurship is not just for adults—it’s a real and viable option for youth today.
