Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Medical Directives and some common pitfalls regarding estate planning will be discussed. Come to learn and bring your questions!
Do you know what would happen to your family, your assets, or your medical care if something unexpected happened to you? Most people think they're prepared, but 60% of Americans don't have a basic will. The results can be costly, chaotic, and heartbreaking for the families left behind. Join us for this educational workshop designed to help you understand the essentials of estate planning and how to protect the people and things you love most.
You'll learn:
- The difference between a will and a trust-and which one might be right for you.
- How to keep your family out of court and conflict.
- What happens if you become incapacitated without proper planning?
- Why joint ownership and beneficiary designations aren't enough.
- How to protect your children's inheritance from lawsuits, divorce, or bad decisions.
- Common mistakes people make (even with a will) and how to avoid them.
- Simple steps you can take immediately to better protect your family.
