STEAM at the Library: Snowstorm in a Jar!

Join us for a fun afternoon of STEAM, making a snowstorm in a jar and other snow-related crafts!

Snow Season has arrived!

No matter the temperature outside, you can always have your very own snowstorm...in a jar! Join us for a fun afternoon where you will use science to create a snowstorm in a jar. We will also be doing snow-themed crafts. This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. 

All materials provided.

This program is designed for children 8 years old and above. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration is required for each child participant. If you don't arrive by 4:10 on the day of the event your registration is forfeit.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
