Author Alia Malek will be discussing her memoir The Home That Was Our Country.

Alia Malet is a journalist, former civil rights lawyer and Distinguished Lecturer and Director of the International Reporting Program at the City University of New York Journalism School.  Born in Baltimore to Syrian immigrant parents, Malet’s memoir – The Home That Was Our Country - is described as a “brilliant combination of geopolitics and family history.” After her presentation, there will be a Q & A session.
