A nine-part coding course for Grades 6-8.
Discover Arduino! is a fun and engaging 9-session course designed for students in grades 6–8 to explore the exciting world of electronics and coding through hands-on learning.
Three times each week, students will engage in a one-hour lesson followed by an hour of experimentation using Arduino kits. Students will first learn the basics of circuits, breadboards, and electrical safety, then dive into coding with C to control LEDs, buzzers, buttons, sensors, motors, displays, and more. As the course progresses, they’ll build increasingly complex projects, culminating in a self-designed final project that they will present to classmates and parents on the last day. This class fosters creativity, problem-solving skills, and STEM confidence with no prior experience required!
Students are requested to bring their own laptop computers if possible. If they cannot, a limited number of laptops will be available for student use during the course.
