Express Yourself Week

Mixed Media Large-Scale Collaborative Art! We will make a group art project using different art supplies & methods.

Join us for a large scale collaborative mural on dropcloth and mixed media materials, which will stimulate your child's creativity and imagination, while helping them develop critical fine motor skills. 

Recommended for pre-K+

Dress to get messy!

We will provide all the materials for this program.

Space is limited.

We will try to use a new art medium each day as we create a mural together.

We will take pictures and print color copies for kids who want to take a piece home with them.

Day 1: Markers

Day 2: Chalk pastels

Day 3: Oil pastels

Day 4: Liquid watercolors

Day 5: Tempera paint

Day 6: Chalk pastels & mixed media papers, glue, washi tape

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
