FreeState Justice, Maryland’s LGBTQIA+ civil advocacy nonprofit organization, is offering a free legal name change clinic to all Maryland residents! The clinic date is Sunday, July 13, 2025, 2pm-4pm at the Germantown Library. The program will take place in the Meeting Room. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged!
You can register with FreeState Justice in advance of the event by submitting an intake service request form. Attendees should note in the intake form that they will be participating in "Germantown Library's Name Change Clinic." You will need to provide a Birth Certificate or a State-Issued ID and provide a Maryland address where you are comfortable receiving court-issued mail.
Minors under 18 are eligible, pending Parental/Guardian/Custodian consent. For more details, please call the legal intake line at 443-977-4254 or email intake@freestate-justice.org for assistance.

Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
